Regional Coordination meetings

Network Against FGM/C In Somaliland (NAFIS) in collaboration with Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs organized annual regional coordination meetings in Sool, Sanaag, Togdheer, Sahil and Awdal regions in Somaliland, these one day regional coordination meetings were participated more than 150 participants (30 participants for each region) These regional coordination meetings were participated different stakeholders, line ministries, LNGO's, Youth, religious/ traditional leaders, women activists, and  INGO's.

The objectives of these meetings were:

Ø  Information sharing on achievements made so far at regional level

Ø  Discussions on challenges met during the last year

Ø  And proposing the way forward 

Participants shared their achievements towards the eradication campaign of FGM/C and areas of their interventions to avoid overlapping of activities in same places.

Moreover, these meetings strengthen the information and experience sharing of anti-FGM/C stakeholders and improved their collaboration as well as the referral system between them.
At the end of these meetings, the anti-FGM/C stakeholders discussed the way forward and develop action plan to conquer the challenges they met during their interventions
